University System of Georgia Cybersecurity Awareness training launches March 17

ÆÞÓÑÉçÇø’s Information Technology (IT) will launch required University System of Georgia (USG) Cybersecurity Awareness training March 17. This twice-annual training, which now includes two short modules, must be completed by 5 p.m. April 11.

New employees will complete an additional Cybersecurity Awareness training module as part of the onboarding process. All assigned modules must be completed.

The USG provides the training content that must be completed by all faculty, staff and student assistants twice annually. Cybersecurity awareness benefits our campus by reminding community members to recognize and mitigate common security threats. This training program is necessary to comply with the governor’s executive order and USG chancellor’s memorandum, both signed in 2019.
