Management information systems
The management information systems major (B.S. in MIS) focuses on the interaction of people and technology in a business environment. MIS professionals study processes, analyze systems, configure software, and work with people across all business functions to deliver information technology systems that support organizational objectives. MIS majors have both technical expertise and the ability to communicate effectively, manage teams, and think critically to keep up with the evolution of business and IT on a global scale.

Education, special education
Through a combination of virtual classroom and field-based learning, GGC’s online special education program gives future educators an opportunity to acquire the necessary assessment, instructional and consultation skills for working effectively with culturally and linguistically diverse children and/or adolescents who have special educational needs. Graduates will be prepared to work with students with special needs in preschool settings through grade 12 and will earn three endorsements: reading and English for speakers of other languages (ESOL), and an autism endorsement.

Health science
Choose from two concentrations to earn a bachelor of science degree in health science.
Students graduating from the bachelor of science in health science will be able to work in a variety of health care settings such as hospitals, research laboratories, private medical offices, ambulatory clinics, public health organizations, the insurance industry and government agencies. Students obtaining the bachelor of science in health science also will be able to move forward to graduate programs in a variety of fields.
Nursing
Earn a bachelor of science in nursing at one of the premier program choices in Georgia.
The GGC bachelor of science in nursing is a dynamic, competitive program dedicated to preparing students for the wide variety of nursing opportunities in the health care field. New, modern facilities and partnerships with community health care organizations provide real-world clinical experiences that enhance learning. GGC’s hallmark of faculty/student mentorships infuses the college’s nursing program with a unique level of engagement and interaction.

Cinema and media arts production and Georgia Film Academy
Choose from three concentrations to earn a Bachelor of Arts in cinema and media arts production. Minor also available in film.
The study of film and media is highly interdisciplinary, leading to exciting careers in areas such as film, television, broadcasting, advertising, social media manager, event manager, magazine journalist, public relations, and publishing. Students with a bachelor’s degree in cinema and media arts production can also prepare students for graduate studies, media education, and a variety of professional degrees in film and television studies and other media industries.

Criminal justice / criminology
Earn a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice / criminology. Minor also available.
Criminal justice / criminology majors focus on a range of topics, such as management, law, policing, corrections, and the theoretical foundation for criminal behavior and specific criminal behavior (criminal violence, organized crime, gangs, juvenile delinquency, white collar crime, and cybercrime). Criminal justice / criminology is a broad-reaching program that prepares graduates for corrections, law, parole, policing, probations or related programs at the graduate level.
English

A bachelor's degree in English equips students for a variety of careers and vocations, including education, marketing and sales, communications, public relations, journalism, publishing, law, business administration and more.

Human services
Earn a Bachelor of Science degree in human services.
The Bachelor of Science degree in human services is an interdisciplinary program for students interested in social services careers, including jobs in the non-profit, private for-profit and government sectors. Students will be prepared to work with a wide demographic range from children and adolescents to the elderly. The degree also serves as a good foundation for those interested in graduate degrees in social work or related fields.
Political science
Choose from six concentrations or teacher certification to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. Minor also available.
The bachelor's degree in political science is for students interested in a wide range of career choices, including government service, advocacy, legislative assistance, international non-government organizations, non-profit management, education, law school and graduate school.
Psychology
Choose from four specializations to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology.
For those students interested in pursuing a career immediately after graduation they will gain a wealth of experiences in the applied aspects of psychology that will easily transfer well to various professions. Also, those interested in obtaining advance degrees will have a strong theoretical foundation for the fields of psychology, law, business, medicine and a wide range of other graduate degrees.

Biology

The bachelor’s degree in biology provides in-depth studies and opportunities for research and internships that prepare students for medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, medically-related research, graduate and professional studies, or joining the business and industrial work forces.
Chemistry
Choose from three concentrations or teacher certification to earn a Bachelor of Science in chemistry. Minor also available.
The bachelor’s degree in chemistry is highly interdisciplinary, leading to exciting careers in areas such as nanotechnology, forensic science, biosciences, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage science, alternative energy, plastics, and environmental science. Students with a GGC bachelor’s degree in chemistry can find employment within these industries and as teachers at the high school level. A chemistry degree is also excellent preparation for graduate studies, chemistry education, and a variety of professional degrees including pharmacy, dentistry and medicine.
Environmental science
Choose from two concentrations to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science.
The bachelor’s degree in environmental science provides an interdisciplinary education for students interested in understanding pressing environmental issues in natural and social science. The degree program prepares students to take an active role in environmental decision-making at local, state, national and international levels.
Exercise science
Choose from two concentrations to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science.
The bachelor’s degree in exercise science enables students to pursue ACSM Certified Personal Trainer or an ACSM Certified Health Fitness Specialist and prepares graduates for employment as personal or corporate fitness trainers, health care professionals in cardiovascular / pulmonary rehabilitation programs, physicians’ offices, medical fitness centers or consult for research, public health and other clinical and non-clinical venues, and for professional educational programs in health care fields such as physical therapy, occupational therapy and as physician assistants.
Information technology
Choose from five concentrations to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in information technology. Minor also available.
Information technology opportunities are present in almost every field – from business to healthcare, arts and entertainment, education, government, forensics and national security. The information technology bachelor’s degree prepares graduates as knowledgeable professionals versed in computer hardware and software, databases, telecommunications, wireless technology and the Internet. The degree program also develops skills in effective communication, teamwork and leadership.
Mathematics
Choose from two concentrations to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics. Minor also available.
The mathematics bachelor’s degree prepares students for employment in business, industry and government immediately after graduation. In addition to traditional employment opportunities in science, technology and industry, students are also prepared for jobs in actuarial sciences, systems analysis and financial mathematics that are expected to grow rapidly.

Motion picture set lighting
The nexus degree in motion picture set lighting is an experiential program that provides students with hands-on, real-world understanding of electrical distribution and the operations of set lighting (design, planning and execution of lighting professional settings) necessary to facilitate entry-level jobs in film and television production. Through their coursework, students learn practical skills and knowledge of lighting theory to develop advanced skills in lighting sets and locations for motion pictures or episodic series. Students are trained on how to operate industry equipment, the best practices in lighting, networking practices and workplace etiquette.

Production design
The nexus degree in production design is an experiential program that provides students with hands-on, real-world experience performing the day-to-day activities of the production field. Students will be trained on how to operate industry equipment, the best practices in production, industry resume and networking practices, and workplace etiquette. Production design includes all of the visual elements that make up a film, television show or theater production. Production designers oversee the overall look and feel of a production, working with a team that creates props and sets, and manages the location scouting department.

Professional editing for film and television
The nexus degree in professional editing for film and television is an experiential program that provides students with hands-on experience with the tools and techniques of post-production for careers in editing. ÌýStudents participate in creative, narrative editing projects to demonstrate proficiency in post-production theory and practice. Editing is the manipulation and arrangement of shots used to structure and present film/video information in ways that convey content visually to viewers. This includes film, television, advertisement, video essays, etc.

Professional sound design for film and television
The nexus degree in professional sound design for film and television is an experiential program that provides students with hands-on experience with the tools and techniques of post-production for careers in sound editing. The final and most important element needed to create an immersive film/television experience for the audience. Sound designers work in post-production by recording, acquiring, manipulating or generating audio elements that enhance the mood, atmosphere and/or tone of a film/television episode. Business Administration: 2+2 Agreement with Gwinnett Technical College
Any students who successfully complete all requirements for the Associate of Science (AS) in General Business degree program at Gwinnett Technical College (GTC), and who is otherwise eligible for admission will, upon application, be accepted at ÆÞÓÑÉçÇø (GGC) and may transfer the credits from the AS in General Business to the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree program at GGC’s School of Business. Note: only the AS in General Business degree program at GTC is acceptable for this articulation program. No other degree program, diploma or certificate from GTC, be it business or another discipline, is covered.

Engineering: USG Regents' Engineering Pathway
GGC participates in the Regents' Engineering Pathway (REP), which makes engineering programs more accessible to students throughout Georgia.
Participation in REP saves students money in tuition, fees, housing and meals, while attending college closer to home for the first two years of study. GGC professors also work closely with program coordinators from participating institutions to align program curriculum needs. This coordination assures a seamless transfer to the engineering school of choice to complete your bachelor's degree.

GGC has developed an agreement with the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM) to offer eligible students early interview and admissions consideration. Program applicants must have completed their first two years of undergraduate education at GGC and meet and maintain the following criteria:
- Enter the program at the end of their second undergraduate year and apply at the end of their third year.
- Maintain the overall grade point average of 3.5
- Earn an MCAT score (on the MCAT taken no later than June 30 of the third academic year) at least equal to the mean MCAT score of the NYITCOM first-year class at the applicable NYITCOM campus for the year the student began the undergraduate study.
- Complete a minimum of 8 hours of biology (course/lab), 8 hours each of general chemistry and organic chemistry (course/lab), 8 hours of physics (course/lab), and 6 hours of English, with no grade below C in any of these courses or labs.
Note: Candidates will be held to the same rigorous admissions standards as other applicants, and final decisions will be solely at the discretion of NYITCOM.

Medicine: doctor of osteopathic medicine PCOM articulation agreement
GGC has developed an agreement with the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) to offer eligible students consideration from the faculty committee on admissions at PCOM provided students meet defined criteria including but not limited to the following:
- Declare their intent to apply for enrollment in the program during their sophomore year at GGC.
- Complete the undergraduate course requirements as listed in PCOM's catalog.
- Earn (on the 4.0 grading system) a grade point average of at least 3.25 through the end of junior year.
- Take the Medical College Admissions Test as early as possible but no later than the Fall of the senior year.
- Earn a minimum score of the fiftieth percentile (50%) in each section of the MCAT.
- ÆÞÓÑÉçÇø to PCOM through AACOMAS no later than Oct. 31 of the senior year and submit the PCOM supplemental application (with application fee) no later than Nov. 30 of the senior year.
- Submit a letter of recommendation from an osteopathic physician (DO).
Note: The final decision on admission to the DO program will be made by PCOM's faculty committee on admissions after the candidate has had a formal PCOM interview.

Pharmacy: PharmD early assurance program
GGC partners with the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) to offer eligible students majoring inÌýbiologyÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýchemistryÌýan opportunity to enter pharmacy school after completing their junior year at GGC. Following their second year of pharmacy school, eligible students receive their bachelor’s degree from GGC, then continue in the program to earn a doctorate from PCOM.
This agreement allows students to begin their careers early while saving tuition dollars.
