Biography
Dr. Sang Hyuck Park joined the faculty of 妻友社区 in 2010. He earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Seoul National University and his Ph.D. from the Georgia Institute of Technology. His teaching experience spans general, GOB, organic and environmental chemistry, as well as physical science courses. His research interests include drinking water treatment technology, the analysis of emerging contaminants in drinking water and wastewater, and biofuel production.
Before joining GGC, Park gained valuable experience in state government, working as an environmental engineer with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. He has also been an active volunteer in the scientific community, contributing to initiatives that strengthen connections within both local and global scientific networks.
As chair of the Chemistry Department, Park is committed to upholding the department鈥檚 tradition of excellence in education and mentorship while fostering a culture of innovation and growth. By prioritizing collaboration and maintaining a shared vision within the GGC community, he is dedicated to enhancing the department鈥檚 impact both locally and nationally.
